GCSE success!

Reach Academy celebrated the outcomes of Summer 2022 GCSEs this week. These results cemented Reach Academy's place as one of the most successful non-selective schools in the country. Nearly half of all grades awarded were a 7 or above (equivalent to a grade A or above). 85% of students achieved a grade 4 in both English and Maths and 75% achieved a grade 5 in both English and maths, way surpassing national averages on all measures. 

A Levels 2022!

Reach Academy celebrated its second set of fully examined post-16 results yesterday with 68% of grades awarded at A*-B and 95% of grades awarded at grade C or above, surpassing national averages. 

Level 3 vocational results were also wonderful with 95% of all grades awarded at Distinction* - Distinction level. 52% of those were at Distinction* level! 

Feltham College - New 6th Form Launched

We are delighted to announce the launch of Feltham College - a new 6th Form set up by Reach Academy in partnership with Hampton School and Lady Eleanor Holles. .

Opening in September 2022, Feltham College is an innovative model of post-16 education, based on an alliance of state and independent educators alongside leaders from the business and health sectors. It will be a centre of academic and vocational excellence offering choice and opportunity to the young people of Feltham.

Reach founders interviewed in first "Start Up Schools" network meeting

Ed Vainker, Rebecca Cramer and Jon McGoh were interviewed for the first meeting of the new Start Up Schools network. The network, which is being led by James Townsend, the Director of Growth Strategy at the Reach Foundation, brings together leaders of new schools with people around the country who want to open their own school.

This afternoon we wrote to our parents and carers to share some reflections on the events in the US in the last week. The letter we sent is published below:

We know that many of you will have seen the news about the murder of George Floyd in America and the civil unrest that has followed. We know that many of you will have been moved by this news and these scenes, and we also know that some of you will feel that this is very distant from your own life and reality. 

Foundation launches the Reach Fellowship

The team behind the highly successful Reach Academy Feltham and the Reach Children’s Hub are launching a Fellowship for ambitious school leaders who have the skills and desire to transform their local communities and provide cradle to career education.

The Reach Fellowship programme aims to kick-start a new generation of all-through schools, with 10 new schools to be established in the first phase of the programme. 

Reach Foundation to incubate Oak National Academy

The Reach Foundation is delighted to be incubating the Oak National Academy. It this moment of acute national challenge, the Foundation is overseeing a Project Board and has helped to ensure that platform launched in time for the start of the Summer Term. 

The project has used the Foundation to provide ready-made structures and processes, as well as covering the upfront costs of launching the project.
